News has come about the collaboration between Google and Samsung Electronic Co. for TV software in home entertainment devices.
Samsung Electronics Co, the largest television maker will use Google TV software chips, rather than those from Intel Corp for it’s new TV.
This collaboration will help Google in boosting it’s viewers base. Where Google TV software lets users search online video and other content on their TV screens.
This software has been used only in TVs and players from Sony Corp like Blu-ray and in some TV set-top box from Logitech International SA, all these TV using Intel's Atom chip.
Samsung, which is also the world's second-largest chipmaker, has sold televisions, sony’s Blu-ray players and other home-entertainment devices built around its own software for connecting to the Internet or services such as Netflix Inc's video streaming.
