Nokia launches low cost phone N 2690 in Indian market of 2010

Nokia has launched a low cost mobile phone in the Indian market. This phone is named as Nokia 2690 and is priced below Rs 4000.The actual price of the Nokia 2690 is Rs 3700.

2690 is a 2G phone. It supports GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900.
Asking for 3G is not justifiable at this low price. Also with the basic features, the only network alternative is 2G only.

One cannot expect a high resolution display technology at this price. Still, what Nokia has given in this phone is acceptable to be a good one.
The screen type is TFT with 256K colors. Well the pixels are not that great. It's only 128 X 260. This is a basic display indeed, but still good for an entry level phone.This phone supports mp3 format ringtones. This is a good feature indeed.
In the alert types, you have vibrator and polyphonic sounds.

The good thing is there is a loud speaker. So keep the phone on the desk and talk in hands free more.
